What if you were more excited about being you?

It’s no secret that we live in a culture that encourages all sorts of shapeshifting and diminishing of ourselves, people pleasing and self-sacrificing in the name of productivity.

Women are often rewarded for being “nice”, polite, small, pretty. Men are often rewarded for being strong and stoic, getting the job done no matter what. And we’re all working to prove our worth and value.

I think the times, they are a-changin. But it can still feel really vulnerable to stand in our truth and let ourselves be seen. It’s courageous AF to define our own version of success, satisfaction, and peace and align with our higher purpose.

And I love to look at all of this through the lense of Human Design, because it can help in some really practical ways:

  1. It shows you what your God-given gifts are that can be most easily experienced and shared with the world simply by being yourself. How freeing.

  2. By embracing your own unique design, you can see and embrace others’ uniqueness with more acceptance, forgiveness, and compassion. This can create a sense of real, true belonging - which is what we’re all after in the first place.

  3. You’ll have more energy. Learning how you’re designed to spend your time and how you can thrive in interactions with others - the energy and creativity that can be freed up is astounding! Just imagine what you could bring to life…

I’m all into the woo, and I love the mystical side of Human Design. But it’s all the practical stuff that brings it home for me. When I can learn something new about myself, begin experimenting with it in my day-to-day life, and then see and feel the lasting change as a result? Yes, please.
