As Seen On

One of my favorite things to do is talk with other female business owners.  I love to ask them how they’re doing, how their business is doing, what they’re struggling with.

Sometimes owning your own business can be lonely…  So more often than not, when given the chance to have a real, honest conversation about what it’s like, the women I talk to admit that they’re overwhelmed, stressed, tired:

  • Business is pretty good, but I’m burning my candle at both ends.  I can’t catch a break!
  • Why is it so hard to find good employees?  I had no idea it would be like this when I first got started.
  • I’m waking up early to work before the kids get up, and then I’m working again after they go to bed… I’m so tired.
  • I haven’t had fun running my business in a while.  I’m starting to wonder if it’s even worth it.
  • I’m just getting started, and it’s like I can’t find any traction.  Finding clients is so much harder than I expected.  🙁

I know the feeling.  I’ve been there (hell, I still find myself there sometimes.).  But I don’t think it has to be this way.  The whole point of being self-employed is to take advantage of the perks that come along with it, right?

What if you could:

  • Go from packed schedules and unending to-do lists to taking Friday afternoons off to go hiking.
  • Quit doing everything in your business and start delegating a bit and watching your business grow without any extra effort from you.
  • Stop working so hard in your business and get back to the important stuff: the business of living your life.

That’s what it’s all about.  #thebusinessoflife  It’s why you work so hard.  To feel successful, happy, free.  To make a difference in the world and make a living while you’re at it.  To have a life outside of your work: playing with your kids, reading a good book, connecting with your friends.

I’m so curious what the #thebusinessoflife looks like for you.  Where are you at with your business?  Why do you do what you do?  What do you love to do when you’re not working?

Maya Angelou said, “We are more alike, my friend, than we are unalike.”

Even though self-employment feels lonely sometimes, the truth is that we’re all in this together.  From a grander perspective, we’re all taking a stand via our businesses (and our lives) for the type of world we want to live in.  One full of possibility and support and connection.  I think that’s really cool (and really brave).  And I’m here to help you.  In fact, I’d be honored to.

You can find me on Instagram, Facebook, Email, and via the comments below (I really do love to hear how you’re doing!).  Or you can sign up for my weekly newsletter at the bottom of the page.  You’ll get a little freebie I made for you when you do.  🙂

I also have a coaching program called Break Free from Business Overwhelm.  It’s quick and to the point, something that will inspire you and help you remember why you started your business in the first place (AND give you some action to take to get it moving forward!).

And remember, no matter where you are in your business journey, you’ve got this.

XOXO,
